The Monobloc is the best-selling piece of furniture in the world. It is said that there are more than a billion of them. And really everybody knows it, this plastic garden chair. So far so good, however there is not only one Monobloc but a multitude of variants, predecessors, developments of this chair. It is also not completely clear who created the first Monobloc. Their common features are the one-piece shape, stackability, material and their simple and serial production and the resulting low price.
